Job Title: SAP SAC Planning & Reporting Consultant (BW & Datasphere)

Location: Bangalore

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning & Reporting Consultant with strong expertise in SAP BW and SAP Datasphere. The role involves designing, developing, and supporting integrated planning and reporting solutions, ensuring seamless data flow and reconciliation across SAC, BW, and Datasphere.

The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of SAC planning capabilities, data modeling, and performance optimization, along with strong business understanding of financial and operational planning processes.

Key Responsibilities

SAC Planning & Development

• Design and build SAC Planning and Analytical Models
• Develop and maintain dimensions, hierarchies, and measures
• Create and manage datasets for reporting and planning
• Build advanced planning solutions including budgeting, forecasting, and simulations
• Develop planning stories and interactive dashboards
• Implement data actions and multi actions for planning automation
• Configure allocations, driver-based planning, and advanced formulas

Scripting & Advanced Features

• Develop scripting within SAC stories and applications
• Implement advanced formula logic for calculations and allocations
• Use JavaScript-based scripting in SAC analytic applications
• Automate planning processes and workflows

Data Integration & Management

• Configure and manage connections between SAC, SAP BW, and SAP Datasphere
• Manage import jobs and upload jobs with file validations
• Ensure smooth data integration using live and import connections
• Support data extraction and transformation processes

SAP BW & Datasphere

• Work with SAP BW/BW4HANA data models (ADSOs, Composite Providers, Queries)
• Leverage SAP Datasphere for data modeling and virtualization
• Ensure optimized data flow and integration across SAC, Datasphere, and BW
• Maintain strong knowledge of data modeling concepts in both BW and Datasphere

Security & Governance

• Define and manage authorizations and data access controls
• Implement role-based security in SAC models and stories
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards

Reporting & Analytics

• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics stories
• Provide actionable insights for business stakeholders
• Enable self-service reporting capabilities

Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting

• Perform performance tuning of SAC models, queries, and dashboards
• Troubleshoot data, planning, and reporting issues across systems
• Optimize query and model performance in BW and Datasphere

Reconciliation & Data Accuracy

• Perform data reconciliation between SAC, Datasphere, and BW
• Ensure consistency and accuracy of financial and operational data
• Validate data integrity across integrated systems

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders
• Translate requirements into scalable SAC solutions
• Provide user training and ongoing support

Required Skills & Experience

Core Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in:
• SAP Analytics Cloud (Planning & Reporting)
• SAP BW / BW4HANA
• Knowledge in:
• SAP Datasphere

Functional Knowledge

• Strong understanding of:
• Financial planning (budgeting, forecasting)
• Business reporting and analytics processes

Additional Skills (Preferred)

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA integration
• Knowledge of ABAP, SQL, or AMDP
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
