Job Title : SAP PPDS Consultant

Relevant Experience (Yrs) : 6+ Years in SAP PPDS

Technical/Functional Skills : · Strong hands-on experience in SAP PPDS on S/4HANA (embedded PPDS) environment. · Good understanding of Production Planning, Detailed Scheduling, and Optimization processes. · Expertise in configuring PPDS master data: resources, PPMs/PDS, transportation lanes, planning versions, and planning books. · Experience with Heuristics configuration, Optimizer setup, and Planning Board usage. · Knowledge of integration with ECC/S/4HANA core modules – PP, MM, SD, and QM via CIF (Core Interface). · Experience in CIF monitoring, queue management, and resolving master data transfer issues. · Proficiency in Product View, Alert Monitor, and Resource Planning Table for capacity and order scheduling. · Strong understanding of Finite Capacity Scheduling, Sequence-dependent setup activities, and Constraint-based planning. · Experience with IDoc monitoring, error handling, and interface troubleshooting between SAP PPDS and external systems (MES, SCM, etc.)

Experience Required · · Minimum 6 years of functional experience in SAP PPDS / PP domain, including configuration, implementation, and support. · At least 1–2 end-to-end S/4HANA PPDS implementation or AMS (support) projects. · Sound understanding of Planning Strategies, MRP Live, and Detailed Scheduling functionalities in S/4HANA. · Experience in order pegging, capacity leveling, and planning optimization. · Integration exposure with IBP, APO, and MES systems. · Experience working within ITIL-based support models

(Incident, Change, Problem management).

Roles & Responsibilities : · Analyze new business requirements and enhancements related to SAP PPDS. · Translate functional specifications into system configurations and testing scenarios. · Configure planning procedures, heuristics, optimizer settings, and master data for PPDS. · Provide L2/L3 functional support in S/4HANA PPDS environments. · Maintain and enhance existing PPDS functionalities, ensuring system stability and performance. · Troubleshoot and resolve issues in CIF integration, planning runs, and capacity constraints. · Monitor and handle IDoc errors, ensuring smooth communication between systems. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams (PP, MM, SD, QM) to resolve integration and planning issues. · Support testing (UAT/SIT), documentation, and user training for PPDS functionalities. · Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize planning efficiency and system utilization.

Education : · Bachelor’s degree preferred.
